Anne Frank, The Power of Hope and Death

Could there be anything worse than this!

Losing hope in life!

I wondered while I lay on my bed.

This is a trend in the world.

Depression!, Suicide!, those are the major causes of death in the world.

You don’t need to argue it.

We all have been disappointed in one way or the other.

But does that mean the end of the world?

NO!!

It is not the end of the world.

It is not yet finished until it is finished.

That is the right thing to say.

And there is a girl whose story explains it all better.

Anne Frank

So who is Anne Frank?

During the second war, a 13 year old girl, Anne Frank, died in a concentration camp (death camp). The concentration was where Hitler sent the Jews to work them to death with little to no food.

Anne Frank was just four years old when the Nazis came to power, and her family wisely fled from Germany to Holland.

But the Germans soon invaded Holland and began rounding up all Jews to be sent to the death camps.

Her father took thirteen-year-old Anne and her mother and sister into hiding.

He had a secret apartment built in his office building, and some of his employees bravely brought them food and supplies.

Anne and her family hid in the cramped quarters for two years, living in constant fear of being discovered. Anne, who had been a very good student, began to keep a journal to help pass the long days.

She wrote about her family members’ daily lives, about the terrible fate of their friends and others at the hands of the Nazis, and about her dreams of freedom.

She still had the courage to hope. Their secret hiding place was so well constructed that they might have stayed hidden for the entire war, but someone betrayed them and told the Nazis.

Anne’s father was sent to one death camp; the two girls and their mother were sent to another.

Anne’s mother gave all her food to her two daughters to help keep them alive. , and starved to death; the two girls, working like slaves, sick, and existing on tiny amounts of rotten food, also died a few months later.

The only survivor was Anne’s father. After the war, he went back to Holland and found the loyal workers who had hidden his family.

They had saved Anne’s diary, hoping to return it to her. When Anne’s father saw how well written his daughter’s journal was, and the powerful tale it told of suffering under the Nazis, he determined to have it published.

The Diary of Anne Frank is considered one of the most important books of the twentieth century.

Today, Anne’s diary is often studied in schools to demonstrate the terrible human cost of bigotry and hatred - as well as the power of hope.

There is hope for you.

Just because you have not achieved what you planned to achieved does not mean you are incapable.

Just because you failed does not mean you cannot succeed.

It comes from the mind.

You are what you think you are.

It starts by tackling all your fears and not running away from it.

The more challenges you face the higher you go; that is the analogy.

Anne Frank just seems that perfect example of the power of hope.

Though she died early, she left a legacy; a legacy that lived after her.

5 Ways to Use the Power of Hope and Death to your Advantage and Growth

1.    Face your fears

You need to remember that your greatest enemy is not death but fear. Learn to face your fears.
You can only conquer your fears by facing it not by running away from your fears.

“The road that is built in hope is more pleasant to the traveller than the road built in despair, even though they both lead to the same destination” – Marion Zimmer Bradley.
Not everything will go as planned, that is okay.
Not every of your wish will come true, - that is okay.

You need to learn to accept the fact that life is unpredictable but can be influenced by decisions you make.

That is the true joy of living.

When you add fear to your journey, you only placed an unnecessary burden on yourself which only weigh you down as you move on in life.

2.    Learn from Failures
We all have failed in one way or the other.

I cannot remember how many times I have made wrong decisions in issues regarding my life.

But that is not a reason to lose hope in life.
Neither is it a reason to quit your dream.

You need to accept that in life, there are many lessons to be learned and many problems to solve.
You only stop solving problems both personal and non-personal problems when you die.

You are in this world to solve problems.

And you need to accept the fact that you will come across failures.

All you need to do is to learn how to turn your failures into lessons for you.

Conclusion

Anne Frank had always hoped for peace in the world while hiding in an underground before being discovered by the Nazi who sent her and her family to the concentration camp.

But during the time she was in the hiding place, she chronicled how she and her family lived.

Though she never survived the ordeal in the concentration camp, she was able to leave a legacy only a Legend will.

She made the best out of the worst no one could have ever imagined.

No matter what you are passing through, no matter what challenges you might be going through; trust me there is a gold mine in it that can make you an inspiration to the world:

Your Job is to find it.

Someone's at the door lyrics by Nathaniel Bassey

Someone's knocking at the door
Someone's knocking at the door

Can you hear Him knocking
Can you hear Him knocking

He's been knocking very long
He's been knocking for so long

Can you hear Him knocking
Can you hear Him knocking

Jesus Jesus Jesus, is at the door
Jesus Jesus Jesus, is at the door

Someone's calling out your name
Calling time and time again

Can you hear Him calling
Can you hear Him calling

He's been calling very long
He's been calling for so long

Can you hear Him calling
He's been calling you

It's Jesus Jesus Jesus, is at the door
It's Jesus Jesus Jesus, is at the door

Don't let him walk away
He's so patient but, don't take a chance
All you need to do is open the door
Let Him take his rightful place
So He can change your world

Open up the door
Open up the door
Open up the door
Open up the door
Open up the door
Open up the door
Open up the door
Open up the door
Open up the door
Open up the door
Open up the door
Open up the door
Open up the door

Alagbada Ina Lyrics by Nathaniel Bassey

Alagbada Ina
The one who's clothed with fire
Your voice resounds like thunder
We glorify your name
Alagbada Ina
The one with eyes of fire
Your name is full of wonders
Come and manifest yourself

You are the Holy one
Dwelling in light so bright
You made the sun and the moon
But you shine brighter than all
As we rejoice and call upon your name
Please come and take your place
And manifest yourself

Alagbada Ina
The one who's clothed with fire
Your voice resounds like thunder
We glorify your name
Alagbada Ina
The one with eyes of fire
Your name is full of wonders
Come and manifest yourself

 All things are possible
Nothing is hard for you
If we believe in your name
And we can stand on your word
These are the days
Of signs and wonders
Days of miracles and power
You will manifest your self

Alagbada Ina
The one who's clothed with fire
Your voice resounds like thunder
We glorify your name
Alagbada Ina
The one with eyes of fire
Your name is full of wonders
Come and manifest yourself

 Mountains will flow down
And darkness will flee
Adversaries surrender
At the sound of your voice
Fire is burning
Revival is here
The nations will worship
Worship Jesus alone
